Mandvi Beach: Little Birdie Teaches about Life

I was enjoying the warm sunshine on my shoulder and the cool blue water caressing my feet in Mandvi beach. I have seen the Arabian Sea in many places but there is something magical about Mandvi, the water is uber blue and the sand does not stick to the feet. The sand is loose and detached and very content to be where they are and not keen to hitch a ride on our feet or clothes to get to our homes. I strolled around, intending to connect with myself and I noticed a little birdie teach me about life. In those 10-15 minutes I did not know whether to observe or to click but old habits die hard and I ended up looking at her through my lens. Birds like us humans also go through the same emotions of doubt, self exploration, to do or not to do, of happiness, joy, contentment, and on and on…..just reiterates my belief that we are all here on a journey home !!!

    Hi,
Can you please suggest me a visit to Mandavi & Wild Ass sanctuary can be done in two days in Dec 2017? Where do I stay for the two spots? It’s for a family of two of 55+ adults!

    Thanks,

    AD

Wild Ass Sanctuary is in Bajana, Little Rann of Kutch which is 200 kms away from Ahmedabad and Mandvi is another 300 kms away. I will suggest the following:
      1. Ahmedabad to Little Rann of Kutch via Modhera Sun Temple and Rani ki Vav Patan. Night halt in Bajana. You can opt for Rann Riders, Desert Coursers, Royal Safari. I have personally stayed in Rann Riders and highly recommended though on the expensive side.
      2. Early Morning Safari in Wild Ass Sanctuary. Leave post lunch for Mandvi. Enjoy the sea beach in Mandvi. I have done a day trip to Mandvi so cannot suggest a place to stay.

Would suggest you stay in Bhuj and visit Mandvi and GRK as day trips. GRK is beautiful at sunset and when moon rises so if you are not staying in GRK ensure that you day trip starts late in the morning and extends post sunset.
